This shower is clad in narrow blue-gray glazed tile laid in an offset brick pattern. The glaze varies from tile to tile, giving the walls a handmade look. A long recessed niche is framed with brass-toned trim, and the shower has a square rain head, a hand shower on a slide bar and a smaller niche in the corner wall.
Narrow plank tile shows every wave in a wall, so the substrate has to be flat and the offset has to be planned so joints do not drift as the rows climb. Niches are framed and waterproofed before tile, and their size is best set to whole or evenly cut tile rows.
